Yes, you may contact Human Kinetics for replacement access codes for a fee. Be prepared to explain what you purchased and whether you need access to the online course in HKPropel, access to the Certification Test at CoachEducation.HumanKinetics.com, or both. The following might help you determine what you need:

  • If you purchased a Higher Ed Online Course online:
    • If you need a new HKPropel access code for the course, please note that this code will have been emailed to you upon your purchase. Contact us at HKPropelCustServ@hkusa.com for assistance with finding this code or to request a replacement code for a fee.
    • If you need access to the Certification Test, log in to CoachEducation.HumanKinetics.com using the email address and password you used when you purchased the course. Click on My Account in the top right corner. Select your course from the Online Course History list.
    • If you need additional help accessing your account at CoachEducation.HumanKinetics.com, contact us at HKRTSupport@hkusa.com.
  • If you purchased a Higher Ed Online Course as a physical package in your institution's bookstore, all codes will have come in a shrink-wrapped package. From this package, you may have lost an access code for the online course in HKPropel, an access code for the Certification Test at CoachEducation.HumanKinetics.com, and/or an access code for a State Component at CoachEducation.HumanKinetics.com. Be prepared to explain what you purchased, including your order number or proof of purchase, and email us at HKPropelCustServ@hkusa.com to request replacement code(s).

The Certification Test is available at CoachEducation.HumanKinetics.com and is not accessed in HKPropel.

    • Locate the STEP 2 access code instructions sheet from your package and follow the instructions on the sheet to redeem your Certification Test access code at CoachEducation.HumanKinetics.com.
    • If you lost your access code, contact us at HKRTSupport@hkusa.com for a replacement code for a fee.

State-specific course components and state by-laws test are available at CoachEducation.HumanKinetics.com and are not accessed in HKPropel.

The ebook is in your HKPropel library alongside the online course. Your ebook is not in VitalSource if you purchased a Higher Ed version of the course. Log in to HKPropel to access your ebook.

Access instructions and access codes for courseware and inclusive access are distributed via your institution. Contact your institution's bookstore for help.

The unit quizzes and semester-ending test for the Higher Ed version of an online course are in HKPropel and must be assigned from your instructor to your class within HKPropel. Your instructor needs to first set up a class in HKPropel and then provide your class with that class's class enrollment token. Once the class is set up in HKPropel, your instructor can assign the test. Students who have redeemed the class enrollment token will be part of the class and be notified in HKPropel if the test is assigned by their instructor.

Notifications are in the top right corner of the student view in HKPropel. Check with your instructor first to ensure the quiz/test has been assigned to your class in HKPropel. If it has and you still cannot see it in your HKPropel account, contact us at techsupport@hkusa.com for assistance.

After redeeming an access code and creating an HKPropel account, sign in to HKPropel. Click the three dots in the top right corner near your profile name. Click on My Account, where you'll find options for adding either an access code or a class enrollment token. Add the class enrollment token provided by your instructor in the appropriate box and click the Add button. This action adds you to the class.
