The School District of Lee County (LCSD) in partnership with Human Kinetics Coach Education is proud to offer the online course Sport First Aid as a component of the district's coaching education program. Sport First Aid is the equivalent of the Lee County Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries course and is recognized by the Florida Department of Education.

Coaches earn a Sport First Aid course certificate by successfully completing the online course and passing the course exam with a minimum score of 80 percent. Sport First Aid is equivalent to three (3) semester hours or 60 in-service points. Requirements for Florida Coaching Endorsement are nine (9) semester hours or 180 in-service points.

To gain access to the Sport First Aid online course through the Lee County School District coaching education program, you must first register with Lee County's professional development management system (PDMS). After you register with the PDMS, you'll be sent an online course packet (containing the Sport First Aid, Fifth Edition text and course access instructions) directly from LCSD.

After you receive your course materials, you're ready to take your course.

When you've completed a course, you have the ability to print a certificate of course completion from the website and e-mail a course transcript to Tommy Bowens to document courses you've completed. These features are found under the National Coaches Registry area of the site.
