Lake County Schools

Lake County Schools in partnership with Human Kinetics Coach Education offers a blended online and classroom course delivery method to meet the Florida Department of Education Coaching Endorsement certification. 

Certification is earned by successfully completing the three (3) required online courses, obtaining a current CPR/first aid card, and attending a mandatory one-day in-class session led by coaching education instructor Russell Wambles. This class will take place on a Saturday; date to be announced. 

The above requirements must be completed and records on file with the course instructor prior to applying for the Florida Department of Education Coaching Endorsement. 

Instructions for registering and completing the Lake County Coaches Education Program:

  • Contact Mr. Wambles (contact information appears below) and let him know that you intend to begin the program.
  • In sequence, purchase* and take the Coaching Principles, Fifth Edition Online Course; Sport First Aid, Fifth Edition Online Course; and sport-specific course.
  • After completing each course, contact Mr. Wambles to inform him of your progress.
  • After completing the sport-specific course, obtain your CPR/first aid card and attend the mandatory in-class session with Mr. Wambles.
