Approved by IESA, the IESA Coaching Essentials Online Course is designed specifically for coaches working with elementary, middle, and junior high school athletes.
The IESA Coaching Essentials Online Course contains two tests; coaches need to pass both tests to achieve IESA certification:
- IESA Coaching Essentials
- IESA by-laws exam
IESA by-laws is a separate test that is included in the purchase of the IESA Coaching Essentials Online Course. It is not sold separately.
IESA also accepts IHSA Coaching Education Program courses to meet the IESA coaching requirement. For more information on the IHSA requirements, click here.
Faculty-coaches may earn three (3) continuing professional development units (CPDU) for taking the course. Each faculty or coach should double check the CPDUs with their local ROE.
