Civilian Marksmanship Program

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) has agreed to adopt Human Kinetics Coach Education courses as part of its requirements for becoming a Certified Coach.
The CMP currently requires Coaching Principles (online or classroom courses) and recommends Sport First Aid (online or classroom courses).
Shooting coaches can purchase and take Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid directly from the NRA page on the this website.
The shooting coach program is a cooperative effort of the three major competitive shooting organizations in the United States: the National Rifle Association (NRA), USA Shooting (USAS), and the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP).
The NRA is the governing body for many domestic shooting sports programs and administers the Coach Program. Contact the Shooting Coach Program at (703) 267-1401 or visit www.nrahq.org.
USA Shooting is the National Governing Body for the Olympic and international shooting sports in the United States. Find out more about USA Shooting online at www.usashooting.org.
The CMP is a federally charted not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to train U.S. citizens in marksmanship and firearm safety with an emphasis on youth. Visit CMP online at www.odcmp.com.
